What We Believe

THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE THIRD PERSON OF THE TRINITY, IS GOD AND DWELLS IN BELIEVERS BY HIS BAPTISM OF REGENERATION.
HAVING BECOME MEMBERS ONE OF ANOTHER BY AN ACT OF THE SPIRIT, WE ARE OBLIGATED TO KEEP UNITY, RISING ABOVE DIFFERENCES AND LOVING ONE ANOTHER WITH A PURE HEART FERVENTLY.
CHRISTIANS ARE CALLED WITH A HOLY CALLING, TO LIVE IN THE POWER OF THE INDWELLING SPIRIT.
WATER BAPTISM AND THE LORD’S SUPPER ARE A SCRIPTURAL MEANS OF TESTIMONY FOR THE CHURCH IN THIS AGE.
OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST IS GOD, BOTH SON OF GOD AND SON OF MAN.
WHEN A PERSON EXERCISES FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST THEY PASS IMMEDIATELY OUT OF SPIRITUAL DEATH INTO SPIRITUAL LIFE.
THE BIBLE IS GIVEN BY INSPIRATION OF GOD AND IS INFALLIBLE.
GOD IS INFINITE, ETERNAL, UNCHANGEABLE AND HOLY.
GOD HAS ORDAINED THAT ALL WHO SIN DIE SPIRITUALLY. IN LOVE, JESUS CHRIST DIED IN OUR PLACE, AS OUR TOTAL SUBSTITUTE.
IN JESUS’ VIRGIN BIRTH, SINLESS LIFE, MIRACULOUS WORKS, VICARIOUS DEATH AND PHYSICAL RESURRECTION. HE IS COMING AGAIN FOR HIS SAINTS AND WILL JUDGE ALL PEOPLE RIGHTLY.

Our Core Values

Biblical Groundings: Committed to staying grounded in God’s word for our faith and practice in all areas of ministry and life. 2 TIM. 3:16-17

Maturity: Accepting people as they are and  encourage them to become all that God has called them to be. COL. 1:28-29

Growth: Our goal is to be effectively used of God in expanding His kingdom and to be found doing so when He returns. We will pursue methods and policies that will facilitate numerical growth without compromising biblical integrity. LK. 19:10; ACTS 13:36; 20:24

Unity: Each ministry of this church should exist to fulfill the objectives of this church as found in  MATTHEW 22:37-40 and MATTHEW 28:19-20. We should be on guard for things that would distract us from our calling. HEB. 12:1-2

Spirit-Led: Prayer is first in all we do – in forming, planning and executing all of our ministries. We desire to lead lives surrendered to the authority of the Holy Spirit. JN. 16:13; GAL. 5:25

Excellence: For the glory of God, Excellence will be the goal in all we do  and not for the recognition of others. 1 COR. 10:31; COL. 3:23

Thankfulness: We often underestimate the value of what God is accomplishing to establish his church. COL. 1:18; EPH. 3:20-21, MATT. 16:18

Small Groups: Small groups are on of the most effective means of building relationships, stimulating spiritual growth and developing leaders. MK. 3:14

Authentic Relationships: We believe that loving God and encouraging people sums up the Christian life, so we are committed to being open, honest and real. To be a healthy functioning part of the body of Jesus Christ, we seek Authentic relationships. ACTS 2:42-47; ROM. 12:10; 13:8

Ministry Model: The pastor and elders are called to a ministry modeled after our shepherd, Jesus. This is spiritual servant-leadership that sees its central task as: Prayer, Modeling, Discipling, Preaching, Teaching and Equipping the saints for ministry. Ministry rests in the hands of believers as Christ’s ambassadors.  2 COR. 5:19-20; 1 PET. 5:1-3; 1 TIM. 3:1-7

Our Church Health

We measure church health not by size or building, but by the spiritual maturity of the people in the church. Our church family strives for a healthy environment that experiences:

Empowering Leadership: Leaders who are both goal and relationship oriented.

Gift-Oriented Ministry: Contented Christians who are using their God-given gifts.

Passionate Spirituality: Christians living committed lives and practicing their faith with joy and enthusiasm.

Functional Organization: Structured so as to promote an ongoing multiplication of the ministry,
recognizing the connection between church “Structure” and “Life”

Inspiring Worship Experiences: A worship service that is an experience with an atmosphere of the Holy Spirit truly at work.

Warm & Accepting Life Groups: Small group opportunities that help people apply the bible’s message to their daily lives and reproduce devoted followers of Jesus.

Relevant Outreach: Reaching out with the good news of Jesus Christ in a way that helps people see how Jesus is the only answer to their biggest need.

Loving Relationships: Creating opportunities for highly significant and life-changing relationships based on God’s truth.

Our Church Structure

The governing body of PRCC is the membership. Elders are members of the church that are the executive body of this church. They have general oversight of all areas of ministry. The pastor is the shepherding elder. The moderator is the administrative elder.

Deacons in our church assist and support the pastor and elders in the spiritual affairs of the church and assist in providing a smooth functioning of the body (ACTS 6:1-6; Phil. 1:1). They prepare and aid in the distribution of the Lord’s supper, interview new members, oversee the Deacon’s fund to help with financial needs in the church family and plan for special holidays, decorations, social greeting, events, fellowship, ETC.

Trustees in our church hold in trust all of the church’s property (Monetary, Real and Personal), in accordance with the constitution and bylaws under the direction of the elders.

Council meets monthly as a communication and advisory vehicle for the smooth functioning of the ministry of the church. It is composed of the Pastor(s), Elders, Moderators, Deacons, Trustees, Treasurer, Financial Secretary and Office Secretary. It also includes the leader(s) from the main areas of ministry in the church. It is open to anyone interested in the ministries of our church.
